Money matters! Focus on supplies and intel early. You'll need them for crucial upgrades and expansions. Don't neglect your economy.
Expand your resistance contacts and build comms stations early. More regions you can contact, the more missions and bonuses you get.
Get those rookies promoted quickly! Sending rookies on early missions and keeping them alive will give you a squad of seasoned veterans in no time.
Hot take: Just save-scum. Reloading saves after every bad move makes the game a whole lot easier. Not the 'pure' way, but it works!
