Honestly, I found sulfur by accident while running from a giant Pal. Turns out, getting chased can be pretty rewarding. Just hit the yellow rocks in any area that looks like it's gonna erupt, and you're set!
Easy peasy, sulfur is in volcanic zones. Smash yellow rocks. Boom, you're the sulfur king.
