Hot take: Golden Rod is great, but don't sleep on the Mechanic's Rod. Only available at night during a Waning Crescent Moon from the Mechanic, it's not THE best but easier to get and really solid until you can snag the Golden Rod.

Getting the best fishing rod in Terraria means aiming for the Golden Fishing Rod! You get this awesome rod by completing the Angler's quests. Specifically, you need to complete 30 of his quests, but it doesn't have to be in a row. The Angler gives you a random quest each day, so keep at it, and eventually, that shiny rod will be yours. It's the best because it has the highest fishing power, making your fishing ventures much more successful.

Got the Golden Rod after what felt like ages doing those Angler quests. Totally worth it, the fishing game changes completely. Plus, it looks cool!

If you're a Terraria player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
