Getting the Fiery Greatsword in Terraria is all about braving the depths of the Underworld. You gotta mine Hellstone in the Underworld, which is no walk in the park. Make sure you've crafted an Obsidian Skull to protect yourself from the burning blocks down there. You'll need 20 Hellstone Bars to craft the sword, and don't forget you need to smelt those bars at a Hellforge, which you can also find in the Underworld.
