To get the Truffle, the mushroom guy in Terraria, you first need to create a surface Mushroom Biome. You do this by planting Mushroom Grass Seeds on Mud Blocks, letting them spread to create a large enough area. Once your Mushroom Biome is thriving on the surface, the Truffle will move in, but only if there's an available house for him. Remember, he won't show up unless it's a surface biome, so don't try setting it up underground or in the sky!

Honestly, everyone's going on about making a perfect mushroom biome for the Truffle to show up, but don't forget you need an empty house ready for him too. It's not just about the mushrooms; it's real estate!
