I researched the tank tree while marathoning WW2 documentaries, got me in the mood. Definitely made the grind more enjoyable!
Start grinding those German tank trees! You'll need to unlock the Pz.Kpfw. IV G first, which is the requirement before getting to the mighty Tiger H1 and Tiger E. It's a bit of a trek, but so worth it!
Why bother? Play the Russian line. Their tanks are better anyway.
