From experience, fixing the reactor can stop radiation leaks, so it's worth the trip. Just be prepared for some tough spots and maybe a firefight with some crabs.
You'll need a propulsion cannon to clear the debris blocking the entrances. Once inside, follow the corridors and signs leading to the reactor room. Just make sure you have a radiation suit!
Just explore the Aurora and look for signs! You can't miss the reactor room if you follow the path and clear obstacles.
