Try verifying your game files through Steam. Right-click on the game in your library, go to Properties, click on Local Files, then Verify Integrity of Game Files. This often fixes many issues!
I had issues with this too! Running the game as an administrator fixed it for me. Right-click the game's .exe file, then select 'Run as administrator'.
First, make sure your PC meets the game's system requirements and update your graphics drivers. Sometimes they can be the sneaky culprit!
Just reinstalled the game and it worked perfectly!
