Getting the Truffle to move in is pretty straightforward but feels kinda magical. You need to build a house for him in an above-ground mushroom biome. First, create the biome: spread some Mushroom Grass Seeds on Mud Blocks till you've got a nice mushroomy area. Make sure your shroom land is spacious because Truffle needs room to feel at home. Then, build a house in this biome, just like you would for any other NPC, and wait for the Truffle to arrive. He won't show up unless it's hardmode though, so defeat the Wall of Flesh and make sure you've got that going for you!

Just make a mushroom biome on the surface and pop a house there. Hardmode's a must.

Tried the mushroom thing, but make sure it鈥檚 REALLY on the surface and in hardmode. Accidentally did it too low and waited forever for Truffle to show up. Height matters!
