Literally just sprinkle some Mushroom Grass Seeds on Mud Blocks above ground. Make an empty house. Boom, wait for Truffle to move in. No need to overcomplicate it.

I got Truffle to spawn by accident lol. Was playing around with Mushroom Biome stuff above ground for the aesthetics and realized a new NPC moved in. Checked the Wiki, and yep, it was Truffle. All ya need is a Mushroom Biome above ground and an available house. Super simple.

Easy peasy! To get Truffle to show up in Terraria, you gotta make him feel at home. First thing, you need to create a Mushroom Biome above ground. Grab yourself some Mushroom Grass Seeds from the Underground Mushroom Biome and spread them on some Mud Blocks on the surface. Once you've got a nice, sprawling Mushroom Biome and a vacant house in it, Truffle will move in. Remember, this has to be above ground, or he won't show up. Happy building!
