Just disable it in your Task Manager. Right-click on your taskbar, select Task Manager, go to the Startup tab, find War Thunder, and click Disable.

If you're on Windows, open Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc), go to the Startup tab, locate War Thunder, right-click it, and select Disable. It worked like a charm for me!

You could also check the game settings. Sometimes there's an option to disable startup launch within the game's own settings menu.
