Uhm, Warding modifier doesn't go on armor, it goes on accessories. Just a heads-up so you don't waste your time trying something impossible!
Warding armors? You can't exactly get 'Warding armor' because Terraria doesn't apply modifiers to armor. Instead, aim to get the Warding prefix on your accessories by reforging them at the Goblin Tinkerer's. It's all about that coin spending spree till you hit the jackpot with +4 defense.
Honestly, getting Warding on accessories is easy. Just stack up on coins and go on a reforging spree with the Goblin Tinkerer. Took me a few tries but definitely worth the defense boost.
