Getting your first gun in Terraria is pretty exciting! One of the easiest ways to get a gun early on is by finding and breaking open Shadow Orbs or Crimson Hearts in the Corruption or Crimson biomes. Usually, after breaking a few, you'll get a Musket or The Undertaker, respectively, along with some ammo. Just be ready to deal with the monsters these areas throw at you!

Wanna get a gun fast in Terraria? Just dig down to the underground Snow Biome and look for an Ice Chest. You might get lucky and find a Flare Gun. Okay, it's not the strongest, but hey, it's technically a gun!

Just buy one from the Arms Dealer NPC. He'll move in once you've got any kind of gun and bullets. If you've smashed an orb or heart and snagged your first firearm, he'll show up, and you can buy better guns from him.
