Try emailing Fortnite support, but don't hold your breath. Refund tokens are your best bet.
First-hand experience: I lost some V-Bucks on a skin I didn't want. I used Fortnite's refund system by navigating to 'Settings' > 'Account and Privacy' > 'Submit a Request.' Got my V-Bucks back in minutes!
