Yeah, Sony hasn't added a gifting option yet. What you can do is purchase a PlayStation Store gift card, then send them the code. Problem solved!

Currently, there isn't a direct way to gift a digital game on PS5. But you can buy a PlayStation Store gift card and give that to your friend so they can buy the game themselves!
