Sadly, there's no option to gift V-Bucks directly. Instead, you can buy a gift card or gift items from the store using V-Bucks.
Bought a V-Bucks gift card online last week, gave the code to my buddy, and he redeemed it on his PS4 with no issues!
Don't bother trying to gift V-Bucks in Fortnite; just get a gift card or gift items directly from the item shop.
