Just hit the escape key to bring up the menu and you'll be effectively AFK. Your character will chill in the world until you're ready to jump back in. Make sure you're in a safe spot though, because the wasteland of West Virginia is unforgiving to idle players.

For a quick AFK, plop your character down in a chair or bed in your camp. It's safer, and you get the added bonus of regenerating some health while you're away. Just remember, the game world goes on around you, so pick a spot where mutants won't come knocking.

Simply don't. The game's meant to be played, folks. If you're stepping away, log off to keep your spot safe. Who likes coming back to a screen of their dead character, anyway?

If you're a Fallout 76 player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
