Hot take: Just jump off, it's faster and you'll respawn anyway if you mess up. Who has time for ladders in GTA?

LOL, I remember the first time I tried to go down a ladder in GTA 5 and ended up faceplanting instead. Here's the deal: approach the ladder and make sure your character is facing it directly. You'll see a prompt to press a button (it's usually the 'E' key on PC or the 'Square' button on PlayStation, 'X' on Xbox) to interact. Just press it, and voila, you're gracefully descending like a pro. Just don't rush it, or you'll be taking the express route down!

Pro tip from someone who's fallen more times than I'd like to admit: Make sure you're not moving too fast when you approach the ladder. If you run at it full speed, chances are you'll miss the prompt to descend and, well, it's a long way down. Slow and steady wins the race, or at least gets you down in one piece.

If you're a Grand Theft Auto player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
