I've done this a bunch鈥攂eat all Invaded Missions in your current tier, then clear the corresponding Stronghold. Rinse and repeat!
First, finish the main campaign. Then complete all the Invaded Missions and the Stronghold associated with your current tier. Repeat until you're at the top!
Just finish enough Invaded Missions and then tackle the Invaded Stronghold. That's it.
