Click on the unit, then right-click the tiles of the roof or upper floor to get your soldiers on top of buildings. XCOM's got your back!

Use the mouse scroll wheel to zoom in and out, or press the Page Up/Page Down keys to change elevation levels and send your units to higher floors!
