Join squadron battles and complete daily tasks and events. They give solid SL rewards and keep things interesting. Racking up kills in Arcade Battles can earn you a good amount too.
I've found that using planes with good bomb load and hitting ground targets in Ground RB (realistic battles) works like a charm for making SL!
Just buy premium and premium vehicles. It's the easiest way to farm SL.
