Growing fruit trees in Animal Crossing is pretty simple! First, you gotta get yourself some fruit. You can get these from other islands or they might already be growing on your island. Then, just dig a little hole with your shovel and bury the fruit in it. Make sure you give it some space from other trees and structures, coz they need room to grow. Watering isn't necessary, but keep an eye on it! In a few days, you'll have a fully grown fruit tree ready to harvest.

I planted like a bazillion peach trees by accident once just by burying fruits everywhere. Can confirm, just stick them in the ground, no water needed. Bonus: you get a cute little orchard vibe going on your island.
