Just plant them in stone and wait. It's not rocket science.

I tried growing these in my last game, made a whole underground gem forest. Make sure you plant them deep enough; they won't grow just below the surface. Also, spacing! Leave about three blocks between each gemcorn for that perfect gem tree.

Growing gemcorns in Terraria is pretty straightforward but super cool. First, you gotta grab yourself some acorns and some gems. Any gem will do鈥攔uby, diamond, you name it. Then, head underground because gemcorns only grow in the dark. Plant the gemcorns in stone, not dirt, and wait. Patience is key; these shiny babies take a bit to sprout. Make sure the area's well-lit with torches, but not too bright, 鈥榗ause remember, they love the dark. Before you know it, you'll have a sparkling gem tree ready to harvest for more gems!
