Turn off your Xbox 360, unplug all the cables, wait for about 5 minutes, then plug everything back in and power it on. Boom, hard reset done!

To hard reset your Xbox 360, go to Settings > System > Console Settings > System Info. Write down your Console serial number, then enter the sequence: LT, RT, X, Y, LB, RB. Pick the 'Reset' option and follow the prompts.
