Lol, just bring the shiniest, most holographic card you got and intimidate your opponent into submission. But for real, keep track of your weaknesses and resistances; they can turn the tide of the battle.

Honestly, just make sure you're having fun. Yeah, winning's great and all, but connecting with fellow Pokémon enthusiasts and sharing a good game is what it's all about. Winning with a deck you built and love beats any strategy.

First things first, know your deck inside and out! Make sure you have a balanced mix of Pokémon, Trainer, and Energy cards. Familiarize yourself with the strengths and weaknesses of your Pokémon, and plan your strategy around that. Don't forget the rule of thumb: 20 Pokémon cards, 20 Trainer cards, and 20 Energy cards make for a solid deck. Finally, communication is key! Always clearly announce your moves and keep the gameplay transparent for a fair and fun battle. Oh, and practice, practice, practice!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
