Just slap on a Summoner emblem and call it a day. More minions, more problems, anyway.
I've been playing Terraria for years, and the best trick I've found is to always use the Bewitching Table before any big fight. Prepping with that extra summon can really make a difference, especially in hardmode. Combine that with the right gear, and you'll be unstoppable.
