The easiest way to heal injured members is to build and upgrade a Medical Infirmary at your base. Ensure you have medicine as a resource, then assign your injured folks to rest there. They'll thank you for it later!

I've had great luck just using Medkits and Painkillers found during scavenging runs. Keep your inventory stocked and use them in the field when needed.
