Unfortunately, there's no direct way to hide a follower on Instagram, but you can switch your account to private so you can approve followers. You can also remove them as a follower by going to your profile, clicking on 'Followers,' and then clicking 'Remove' next to their name. This way, they'll no longer see your posts unless they follow you again and you approve.
