Not everyone needs to know when to send you birthday wishes. Just switch your birthdate visibility to 'Only Me' under 'Contact and Basic Info.'
Head to your profile, click the 'About' tab, and then 'Contact and Basic Info.' Click the pencil icon next to your birthdate, set the audience to 'Only Me,' and save. Voila, secret birthday!
