Go to your profile, click on 'Friends', then click on the pencil icon to edit privacy, and set 'Who can see your friends list?' to 'Only Me'. Voila, your friends list is now hidden from prying eyes!
Just go to your friends list, hit the settings, and change visibility to 'Only Me'. That's it!
