A trick I use is turning off 'Allow Others to See My Activity Status' under the Privacy settings. Works like a charm!

You can hide your online status in PUBG Mobile by going into the 'Settings' menu, then selecting 'Privacy and Safety.' From there, set your 'Online Status' to 'Offline' or 'Appear Offline.'
