Actually, staying offline is simple. Before firing up Valorant, switch your status in Riot's chat to 'Invisible'. It's a bit of a workaround, but it gets the job done. Played many nights without my squad knowing. Stealth level 100.
Just go full ninja mode – disconnect from the internet, then reconnect and quickly click 'Play' on Valorant before your friend list loads. Boom, you're playing incognito.
