Use the targeting reticle and learn to lead your shots, especially when going after fast-moving air or ground targets. Predict where they'll be, not where they are.
Always try to aim for the weak spots on enemy vehicles. For tanks, this is usually the sides and rear, while for planes, it's the engine and cockpit areas.
