I had to fiddle a bit, but here's the gist: Go to 'System Settings,' choose 'Network Settings,' select your Wi-Fi, pop in your password, and you're online! Worked like a charm for me.
Skip the cables, hop into 'Network Settings,' and choose your Wi-Fi. Password in, and you're flying. Done and dusted.
