Easy peasy - if it's got a card number higher than the listed set number and it looks fancier than your average card, you've probably got a secret rare on your hands. Shiny, unique, and rare - that's your secret rare card's vibe.

Secret rare Pokemon cards stick out like a shiny Gyarados! Look for a card number that's higher than the set's total count. So, if your card says 115/114, congrats, you've got a secret rare! They often have unique, flashy designs that differ from the rest of the cards in the set. Keep an eye out for holographic patterns, different color schemes, or artwork that extends beyond the usual frame.

Got one with a weird number and it looks like it got dressed in the dark by a unicorn? Yep, that's a secret rare.

Just check the card number. If it's above the set's max, it's secret rare. Not all that glitters is gold though, some aren't worth much.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
