First edition Pokemon cards have a special symbol! Look on the lower left corner of the picture on the card. You'll see a little 'Edition 1' symbol there. That's your golden ticket to knowing it's a first edition. Don't mix it up with the base set symbol though, that's different and doesn't mean first edition.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy: Just flip that card and check the bottom corner. If you see '1st Edition' stamped there, you've hit the jackpot. No stamp? No first edition. Keep it simple!

Honestly, finding a first edition isn't as big of a deal as it's made out to be. Sure, they're cool and all, but the joy in Pokemon TCG is in the play, not just the collectibles. Just enjoy the game!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
