Just weigh them! Real cards have a consistent weight. Fakes often feel lighter or heavier. Trust me, after handling enough real ones, you'll notice the difference right away.

Real Pokemon cards have a distinct feel and look. First, check the card texture; genuine cards have a unique smooth feel. The color and print quality are high, so look out for any blurring or color mismatches. Real cards also have a thin layer of black between the front and back, visible when you look at the edge of the card. Lastly, the holographic pattern on real Pokemon cards is hard to replicate, so if the holo looks off, it might be fake.

Look at the card's border. Real Pokemon cards always have clean and even borders. If you see uneven or overly thick borders, it's a red flag!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
