First off, boost your Perception stat 'cause it's key to lockpicking. The higher, the better. Then, grab the Picklock perk under Perception - it's a must. There are three levels of this perk, so keep an eye out for each as you level up. Also, stay stocked on bobby pins; they break. Lastly, practice makes perfect. Get a feel for the sweet spot in each lock, and you'll be cracking them open like a pro in no time.
Wanna know a secret? Use the 'server hop' method for practice. If you botch a lockpick on a container, just hop to a new server. The lock resets, and you can try again without wasting resources. Worked for me!
Actually, lockpicking's easy. Just wiggle the bobby pin and turn the screwdriver. If the lock's tough, you're probably not ready for what's behind it. Move on and come back later.
