Improving your lockpicking skills in Fallout 4 is all about leveling up your Perception attribute and making sure you grab the locksmith perk as soon as it's available. The higher your Perception, the easier it is to pick locks. And don't forget to keep an eye out for bobby pins everywhere you go; you'll need 'em!

Just practice, practice, practice. Honestly, the mini-game doesn't change much regardless of your skill level, so getting a feel for the sweet spot in simpler locks will help a lot when you move on to tougher ones. Also, save before you try in case you break your bobby pins.

Why bother improving? Just grab a companion like Cait who can pick locks for you. Save those perk points for something more useful.

Pick every lock you come across, even if you have to save scum a little. The experience adds up, and you'll get a real feel for it. Plus, investing in the locksmith perk early gives you a huge advantage.

If you're a Fallout 4 player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
