I upgraded my ship multiple times and invested in the Command Center. Now I've got a crew that makes the Enterprise look small!
Complete main story missions and some side quests, they sometimes reward you with additional crew slots. The galaxy rewards you for being a hero!
Focus on leveling up your Leadership skill. The better the Leader you are, the more people want to join your awesome crew.
Upgrade your Command Center! Building a better one on your ship or base allows more crew members to join your space shenanigans.
