First off, make sure your Xbox One is updated to the latest firmware, as updates often include performance improvements. Then, dive into the settings of Apex Legends and adjust the video settings. Lowering the graphic details can significantly boost your FPS. Also, ensure that your game mode is enabled on your Xbox One to prioritize gaming performance. Another tip is to clear your Xbox One's cache, which can free up system resources and potentially increase your FPS.

Hot take: Just enjoy the game as it is! Apex Legends is optimized for fun, not just FPS. Lowering settings might give you a tiny FPS boost, but will it really make your gameplay experience better? Doubt it.

I cranked down the settings on my Apex Legends and saw a decent FPS boost on my Xbox One. Specifically, turning off shadows and lowering effects made the biggest difference for me.

If you're a Apex Legends player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
