To increase render distance in Subnautica, go to the graphics settings in the options menu and tweak the 'Level of Detail' slider to 'High' or 'Ultra'. You can also try editing the game's configuration files for more custom settings.

Messing with the game's config files can give you better render distance, but be careful not to overdo it or your PC might turn into a submarine itself!

You need to adjust the 'Graphics Quality' in the options menu to a higher setting. Higher settings will increase the render distance and make your underwater adventures even more awesome!

Honestly, just crank up all the graphics settings to max and see if your computer can handle it. If it can't, well... you tried!

I've had luck by adjusting the 'Water Quality' and 'Terrain Streaming' options as well. Makes things look pretty nice down there!
