First thing, check your internet connection because sometimes it's not Steam, it's your WiFi throwing a tantrum. Another trick is to clear your download cache in Steam's settings. This is like telling your Steam to take a deep breath and start fresh, could work wonders. Also, try changing your download region in Steam's settings to a region that's closer to you or less busy. Late at night can be a good time because fewer people are downloading and hogging the bandwidth.

I switched my download region to one that's closer to me, and it felt like I went from dial-up to broadband. It's in the Steam settings under Downloads. Give it a shot, might just make your day.

Hot take: Just pause and unpause the download. Sounds too simple, but sometimes it magically works. Steam might just need that little nudge to get its gears moving faster.

Everyone's going on about changing settings, but have you tried using an Ethernet cable? WiFi is convenient and all, but it's not always the fast lane we wish it was. Ethernet could give you that stability and speed boost you're looking for. Just saying, it's an old school move that still holds up.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
