How to Install a Custom Plane Skin in War Thunder
It's super easy! Go to the War Thunder installation directory, usually something like C:\Program Files (x86)\War Thunder. Find the 'UserSkins' folder, and drop your custom skin files in there. Restart the game and go to the vehicle customization menu to select your new skin!

First, download a custom skin (plenty of sites offer them). Navigate to your War Thunder game folder, then find 'UserSkins'. Drop the skin files in there, restart the game, and voilà! You're ready to fly in style.
I've done this before – it's pretty straightforward. Download a skin, pop it in the 'UserSkins' folder in your War Thunder directory, and you'll see it in-game under customization options after a restart.
Just go to 'Custom Content' in the game settings, enable it, and place your skin files in the 'UserSkins' folder in the game directory. Done!
Honestly, custom skins don't add much. Stick with the default options!
