One trick is to disconnect the Xbox from the internet before starting the installation. This prevents the console from downloading updates while installing the game from the disc.

Use a wired Ethernet connection instead of Wi-Fi. Trust me, it makes a noticeable difference in download and installation speeds if your internet is stable.

Honestly, I just start the install before I go to bed. When you wake up, it's usually all done and ready to go!

If you have a fast external hard drive, install the game there! Installing to external drives can sometimes speed things up, plus it鈥檚 better for on-the-go gaming.

Turn off any background downloads. Go to Settings -> System -> Updates & Downloads and make sure nothing else is downloading while you install the new game.

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
