First, make sure your USB drive is formatted to FAT32. Then, create a folder named 'GAMES' on the root of the drive and place your game files inside it. Plug the USB into your PS3, go to 'Game' in the XMB menu, select 'Install Package Files,' and follow the prompts.

Really, it鈥檚 all about FAT32. Just format your drive to FAT32, put your game in a 'GAMES' folder, and use the 'Install Package Files' option on your PS3. Easy peasy!
