Honestly, it's easier than it sounds. Get a compatible SSD, power down, open up the PS5, insert and secure the SSD, then format it in settings. Done.
Just be sure you have the right type of SSD, follow the manual steps for installation, and remember to format it after booting up.
First, ensure you have a compatible M.2 SSD. Power off your PS5 and unplug all cables. Remove the base and side panel. Locate the SSD slot, remove the screw and spacer, insert the SSD, and screw it in place. Put everything back together, power on the PS5, and format the SSD through the settings menu. Boom, you're good to go!
