I managed to get Android running on my Steam Deck by using an emulator like Bluestacks, downloaded and installed through the Linux compatibility layer (Proton). It's not native, but it worked for me!

Start by downloading an Android ISO image and creating a bootable USB drive with tools like Rufus. Boot the Steam Deck from the USB drive, and follow the on-screen instructions to install Android. Be sure to backup your data first!

Honestly, don't bother. The Steam Deck runs Linux perfectly, and you can play almost any Android game using emulators like Anbox without the hassle of installing a full Android OS.

In the BIOS, enable booting from a USB device. Insert your bootable USB with the Android ISO, then follow the setup steps. Make sure to google specific drivers you might need.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
