How to Install Blizzard Games on Steam Deck
RequestingFinal路7 months agoFirst off, you gotta love that Steam Deck for its versatility, but installing Blizzard games isn't straight out of the box. Here's the deal: You need to install Proton or use SteamOS's compatibility layer to run non-Steam games, including those from Blizzard. Once you have Proton set up, add your Blizzard game as a non-Steam game into your Steam library. From there, you can launch it directly from your Steam Deck. Remember to adjust the Proton version or settings if you run into any performance issues!

Hot take: Just dual-boot Windows on your Steam Deck. Blizzard games run smoother on Windows, and while it's not the pure Steam Deck experience, it gets the job done.
Protip from someone who's been down this road: Make sure your Steam Deck's firmware and all software are fully updated before trying to install Blizzard games. Had a few hiccups with compatibility until I realized my system needed an update. Once everything's up to date, it's pretty much smooth sailing.
