Honestly, if you're looking to play Breath of the Wild, just buy a Switch. The game's designed for it, and you won't have to jump through hoops to get it running.

First off, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a Nintendo game and not directly available on Steam. However, you can play it on your Steam Deck through emulation. First, you need to install an emulator like Yuzu or Cemu through the Linux desktop mode. Then, legally obtain a copy of Breath of the Wild and load it into the emulator. Remember, you must own the game to emulate it legally!

Played BoTW on my Steam Deck via Cemu emulator, and it was pretty epic! Just make sure you get your game files legally. It's a bit of a setup, but totally worth it.

You can, but it's a bit of a workaround. Install a Switch emulator like Yuzu on your Steam Deck, and then you can run Breath of the Wild. Make sure you own the game, though; piracy isn't cool.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
